At-Home Spa Treatments
to Keep You Glowing

Let’s face it; we can’t all afford to spend a day at the spa getting pampered, but that doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself like the rock star you are! Now you can reap all of the spa-day benefits without leaving the house or breaking your wallet. Spoil yourself with these easy at-home spa treatments that will leave you feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and completely refreshed. After all, you deserve it!

Hair Treatment: Dry Hair
Say goodbye to fried, thirsty split-ends with a honey mask!
Here’s how:

1. Add a dollop of honey to your favorite deep conditioning conditioner.
2. Apply a generous amount of the mixture to wet hair.
3. Comb it through and let it sit for no less than 20 minutes (the longer, the better).
4. Rinse thoroughly.
Do this hair treatment once a week and you’ll have healthy, shiny hair before you know it. Such a no-brainer!

Facial: Dull Skin
Follow these easy steps and your skin will be glowing for days.
Here’s how:

1. Cleanse: remove dirt and makeup.
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and warm water.

2. Exfoliate: gently remove dead, dull skin.
Mix 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt and 1/4 teaspoon of honey until it forms a pasty substance. With your fingertips, massage the mixture into your skin using a gentle circular motion for 1-2 minutes. Don’t scrub! Rinse with warm water.

3. Steam: hydrate the skin and open the pores.
Boil a large pot of water and add a few dashes of your favorite essential oil (lavender, chamomile.). When water reaches a full boil, remove the pot from the burner and carefully place it in the sink. Drape a small towel over your head while you lean over the steaming pot and breathe deeply. Do this for 5-10 minutes – and be careful not to get too close!

4. Tone: balance the skin and even out your complexion.
Whisk one egg white in a bowl until it begins to thicken. Add in 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey and mix until it is blended evenly. Apply the toner delicately to the face, avoiding the eye and lip areas. Let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

5. Moisturize: hydrate and nourish.
Mash up half of a ripe avocado and spread it evenly on your face. The avocado is packed with vitamins A, D and E and a wide range of other proteins and minerals that will leave your skin soft, healthy and nourished. Let the mask sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing with warm water.
