One lucky lady is counting Gwenyth Paltrow as one her many blessings. As September 11th approaches, we’re beginning to see memorials and an increase in chatter about the devastating tragedy that happened ten years ago. One story in particular has come to light and it highlights one of our favorite Hollywood actresses.
According to The Morton Report, Lara Lundstrom Clarke believes her life was saved by a chance encounter with Gwenyth Paltrow on Sept. 11,2001. As Clarke was in a rush to get to work at the Twin Towers, she jaywalked in order to get to the subway station the fastest. She recalls crossing 7th avenue and seeing a Mercedes SUV coming towards her. The SUV and Clarke both stopped, and the person behind the wheel, Gwenyth Paltrow, motioned for Clarke to continue crossing.
This encounter caused Clarke to miss her intended train and by the time she got to work, the first plane had hit the World Trade Center.
Paltrow’s publicist, Stephen Huvane, confirmed the accuracy of the report and said that Paltrow was “deeply moved” by the story.
