While this might be one of the happiest moments in the lives of Beyonce and Jay-Z, a new song from Jay-Z reveals the couple had endured some darker days on their journey to parenthood, including at least one miscarriage.
In the song, “Glory”, which the hip-hop mogul posted on this website LifeandTimes.com today, Jay-Z opens up about the couples struggles:
“False alarms and false starts, all made better by the sound of your heart.” He later adds, “last time the miscarriage was so tragic. We was afraid you’d disappear. But nah baby, you’re magic.”
The first-time dad also talks about his newfound joy, rapping,” The most amazing feeling I feel. Words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real. Baby I paint the sky blue. My greatest creation was you.”
The song ends with the sounds of a baby crying, and since the song says it features “B.I.C.” (aka. Blue Ivy Carter) we can only assume this is Blue’s debut performance.
Jay posted the track along with the statement, “Life just got REALLY good” and a photo of the Empire State Building lit up in blue.
