A subdued-looking Kim Kardashian appeared on the Australian morning talk show “Sunrise Live” Thursday to chat with hosts Melissa Doyle and David Koch in her first television interview since filing for divorce. Seated by her side, was younger sister Khole, giving Kim some much needed sisterly support.
Although the sisters are in Australia promoting their new ‘Kardashian Kollection’ handbag line, the main focus of the interview naturally was the end of Kim’s 72 day marriage to NBA star Kris Humphries.
David Koch cut right to the chase, asking Kim how hard she worked to keep the marriage together, questioning if the couple ever went to marriage counseling.
Kim’s responded: “I think when you know so deep in your heart that you just have to listen to your intuition and follow your heart, there’s no right or wrong thing to do” adding, “I am not ready to get into the details of it. I think what really just, I think, upsets me most is that there has been from the start so many rumors of money and dollar signs … and so much of it not being true.”
When pressed by the hosts to address accusations that the marriage was fake, the reality star acknowledged it was hurtful, but ended the questioning with, “I think that’s all I’m really going to say about the situation right now, and just kind of focus on why we’re here in Australia.”
The ladies then went on to discusss the future of their reality show and talk about some of their charity work.
